The Position:
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for the following duties for the Bear Valley, California Resort, reporting out of Skyline Head Office in Toronto.
- Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due
- Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques
- Recording daily, weekly, and monthly expenses
- Meeting with Auditors, as needed
- Ensures timely and accurate vendor payment and documentation of payment processing.
- Reviewing vendor IRS form W-9s for completeness
- Preparing IRS Form 1099s for all eligible vendors and file appropriate reports with the IRS.
