Position Summary
The Human Resources Student plays an integral role within the Resort to ensure successful support of HR programs and services. This position provides administration and service support to all department and resort associates. Main areas of responsibility include recruitment and onboarding, file and database maintenance, and health and safety administration.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources student or new graduate looking for hands on experience in a dynamic, fun and fast paced environment where each day brings new challenges. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruitment administration including: posting positions, reviewing resumes, and managing all applicable paperwork and onboarding documentation
- Process data transactions in multiple HRIS systems such as, initial new hire processing, team member status changes, personal data, compensation and benefits, payroll, etc.
- Ensure accurate and up to date storage of documentation and precise entry of employee information
- Update and assist with maintaining Resort job descriptions
- Responsible for tracking participant enrolment, marks and other training information within a learning management system
- Update and maintain employee communication vehicles with pertinent employee information
- Practice discretion and confidentiality of information per privacy and employment legislations
- Assist with associate communications and special administrative projects as requested
Qualifications:
- Human resources student currently enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources program.
- Knowledge of various employment governing bodies: Employment Standards Act in Ontario, Human Rights Code, Ministry of Labour, Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Must be computer literate. Preferred candidate will have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Previous experience with human resources management software an asset but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Independent and self-motivated
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
