We’re looking for a self-sufficient, motivated Roof Loader for our Courtenay  location who are dedicated to unloading building materials safely and who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.

If you know anything about the construction business, then you know that getting roofing materials on the top of roofs isn’t easy; it is physically demanding and requires a high level of accuracy to ensure the Roofing Contractors’ needs are met and homeowners’ property remains intact.

 Responsibilities

• You take pride in accuracy. You will be diligent about safely unloading roofing supplies.
• Completes order shipment by loading trucks efficiently; ensures accuracy and quality of orders being loaded
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing, wrapping and labelling pallets; placing material in staging area
• Unload incoming material shipments and store efficiently in designated locations
• Organize stock and maintain inventory; restock materials as required
• Assist in completion of inventory audits
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse neat; complying with established policies and procedures
• Must be comfortable with off loading shingles onto roofs, must be comfortable with heights and climbing ladders

• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Be a team player
• Pride in being on time, self-sufficient, and able to provide knowledgeable, excellent customer service
• Must have a valid class 5 drivers license with a clean driving abstract 
• Forklift experience an asset, we are willing to train the proper candidate
• Workermust be able to physically perform the job functions, which includes manually lifting up to 75 lbs consistently
