Job Description

We are hiring full time Vehicle Loaders.  This position is completely outdoors and would be responsible for preparing the railcars for loading, driving the brand-new automobiles onto the railcars, securing the vehicles down and preparing the railcars for transportation. This is a day shift position, and you must be flexible with up to 12 hours from the start of the shift as this position stays until all the cars are loaded but are typically done much sooner.

Location:

Brampton, ON – Intersection of Torbram Rd and North Park Dr

Compensation:

• $19.01/hr to start and $21.12/hr after 1440 hours – Minimum pay is scheduled shift time plus any additional time if needed.
• If you are scheduled to complete the car loading in 8 hours and finish in 5 hours, you still get paid the 8 hours and get to go home early!
• Wage raise in August of 2021

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of general/heavy labour experience
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Clean Driving Record
• Must be able to drive standard/manual transmission

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the railcar for loading
• Drive the new vehicle from the staging area onto the rail car and park it
• Place the chock blocks in their proper position on both sides of the tire
• Place the strap into position around the tire and secure the vehicle
• Exit the train by climbing down the ladder railings on the outside of the Box car
