Production Assembler - Composite Cladding Panels

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for a skilled artisan to assemble and finish composite cladding panels made from aluminum and natural surface materials such as stone, porcelain, or glass. The ideal candidate is quality conscious, a quick learner, and will have 3-5 years of experience as a cabinetmaker, carpenter, handyman, or similar profession that cuts, assembles, and finishes components to build a finished product according to the specifications of an assembly drawing. The position requires manual dexterity, a mechanical aptitude, and great attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person.

COMPETENCIES

• Able to read and understand production assembly drawings
• Able to use power tools such as angle grinders, sanders, and drills
• Able to use hand tools such as hammers, mallets, and chisels
• Able to measure, cut, grind, sand, and chisel
• Able to accurately and precisely assemble pre-cut components to meet the assembly drawing specifications
• Able to use model template fixtures to create the specified corner angles, lengths, widths, and heights to meet the specifications of the assembly drawings
• Must have a good mechanical aptitude and be detail-oriented
• Must be quality conscious
• Must have a professional demeanor and good work ethic
• Able to work efficiently both independently and as a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and execute shop tickets and assembly drawings
• Polish, grind, chisel, sand, glue, clamp, fit, assemble and finish stone/porcelain composite cladding panels to meet specifications on assembly drawings
• Pack finished assembly on a pallet with the assembly drawings

• Hours – 5-day workweek – 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 3:00 pm - 11:30pm
