Mechanical Coordinator / Estimator

We are seeking a Mechanical Coordinator/Estimator for service jobs and commercial jobs in the Edmonton region.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately estimating the cost of labor, equipment, and materials for jobs from pictures and site condition, and review documents in a detail manner
- Communicate project requirements and scope to field supervisors and develop relationships with clients
- Perform risk analysis, profitability analysis, and analyze the competitive positioning of projects out for tender
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in the commercial and industrial construction industry in a similar role
- 3+ year of field experience
- Trade certificate in Plumbing, HVAC, and Gas fitting is preferred
- Bachelor or Associate degree in an Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or Finance related field is an asset; equivalent work experience is acceptable
- Knowledgeable in plumbing, gas codes, and building codes is a requirement
- Able to do material take off according to pictures on site
- Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) is essential
- Experience working in a very fast-paced, self-directed, and dynamic work environment
Competencies:
- Strong field experience/ background and understanding of plumbing and construction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage several estimates simultaneously
