Assembly Labourer

We are a global supplier and manufacturer of industrial and explosion-proof unit heaters and thermostats for hazardous and severe duty locations. The primary function is Shipping and Receiving as a member of the manufacturing division

Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm - overtime when available.

Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets Detailed Work Instructions
• Mechanical Equipment assembly and Basic Electrical understanding.
• Use of hand tools, power tools including air tools.
• Use of wood cut-off saw and nail guns.
• Cleans, QC’s and checks component parts for any defects.
• Ensures all equipment is clean and functional.
• Assists with the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment.
• Assist Engineering staff on support issues related to product assembly.
• To take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of him/herself and of other workers present while at work.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid grade 12 diploma
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment preferably mechanical or electrical assembly
• Forklift License would be an asset.
• Above average communication skills.
