CNC Machinist - Programmer
Dartmouth, NS
Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret drawings, blueprints, tables and charts for clarity and understanding.
- Accurately program and set up a variety of conventional and computer numerically control machine (CNC).
- Verify dimensions of products for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instrument.
- Set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance in accordance with standards.
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces .
Requirements:
- 5+ years work experience in a fast-paced, creative machine shop.
- Working knowledge of CNC programming using Fusion 360, CAD/CAM
- Highly proactive and organized
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Knowledge of workplace occupational health and safety and dedication to working safely.
