We are excited to be looking for a talented Senior Engineer to fill the key position of Senior Engineer, Water. This position reports to the Director of Utilities Infrastructure.

As the Senior Engineer to a group of engineering professionals, you will lead, coach, and support your team.

This role is also responsible for managing both Regional water supply and City distribution programs, including budgets and engineering projects. You will be responsible for long range planning, concept plans, development applications, implementing City and Regional master plans, and applying and developing policies and bylaw for both the City and Regional Systems.

As the City’s technical expert you will work closely with external consultants, as well as respond to inquiries from the public and outside agencies.

Your professionalism and superior communication skills will serve you well as you will be called upon to prepare and present reports to Committees, Council and Senior Management.



Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline;
  • 10+ years’ experience as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.)
  • Currently registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC and in good standing

The Utilities Infrastructure Division of the Engineering and Regional Utilities Department develops long-term capital plans, policies, master plans, bylaws, and processes development applications that guides the growth of the Regional Utilities (water and sewer treatment). This Division will help guide the infrastructure investments reach the city's goal of becoming "The Hub of the Fraser Valley.”

This Division will also help shape the future of the City and is viewed as essential to keep both the current and future residents of our city comfortable.
