Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing business.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Inspect all equipment coming in and leaving tool crib - monitor tool crib
• Inspecting, Diagnosing and Repairing: electrical systems, landing gear assemblies and trailer frames; hitching/coupling systems; trailer bodies; suspension systems; tires, wheels, hubs and axles; air and auxiliary systems; braking systems and hydraulic systems
• Using hand tools and various specialized diagnostic equipment to diagnose, isolate and repair
• Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
• Perform scheduled PM's
• Fleet Maintenance, Ordering, Advising on work performed, general condition and future work required
• Perform service on Heavy Equipment: Excavators, Dozers, Doosan, skid steer, backhoe, roller, Western Star, Mack, Kenworth trucks, etc.
• Reviewing work orders and discussing work to be performed with the Fleet Manager
• Accurately update information and maintenance performed
• Complete Welding & Fabrication work

Qualifications

• 310T Mechanic license
• Ability to read and interpret owner/operator/manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications
• Able to keep up-to-date on technology and upgrading skills as required
• Parts charge out and parts sourcing accuracy is required
• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required certifications related to the trade
• May be required to operate a mobile service truck as needed
