We are currently looking for a Trailer & Truck Mechanic to join Central Equipment Sales & Service. Central Equipment Sales & Service specializes in commercial vehicle and equipment repairs/modification.
Responsibilities:
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial vehicle including brake, steering and suspension, drive train, chassis, frame, cab, body, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized repair equipment
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
- Inspect and test mechanical units, axles and brake systems to locate faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of trailer systems including structural, brakes and electrical systems.
- Read and adhere to Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines
Requirements:
- 310T Red Seal Endorsement
- Team player; ability to take direction
- Must be self-motivated
- Valid Driver’s Licence
