We are currently looking to hire Seasonal Grounds Workers to complement our Team. The work setting is a cemetery. Hours are Mon-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (guaranteed 40 hours per week) A Valid Driver’s license is required for all positions. We offer competitive rates.
The team are motivated individuals, who care about what they are doing in terms of providing the best appearance possible and customer satisfaction; work terms are renewed based on work performance and Seasonal duty needs yearly, there is an opportunity available for fall/winter 2022/23.

Title: Grounds maintenance worker (Seasonal April-end of Oct term, Days, 8am-430pm - Monday - Friday)
Terms of Employment:
Seasonal, Full Time, Week Days; overtime if needed on weekends
Hourly rate:
$15.75 (+ 4%) hourly rate for students with Valid Driver’s License
$18.75 (+ 4%) hourly rate Service worker or Gardener rate with Valid Driver’s License
Both positions offer 40.00 Hours per week (50 cent raise every 500 hours worked based on performance);
Anticipated Start Date:
Depending on spring weather (April-May)

Education:
Grade 12 or Equivalent
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.):
Not needed; but any certifications in the landscaping, welding, mechanics field are considered an asset.

Tractor mower, Sod cutter, Weed trimmer/edger, Backhoe, Tractor, Front-end loaders, Small engine equipment.
Specific Skills:
Assist with landscape constructions, Weed, prune and trim trees and plants, Cut grass, Rake/ collect refuse, Remove litter and garbage, Cart and spread topsoil and other materials, Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, Water lawns/gardens, Repair and maintain equipment, installation of flat markers which requires some heavy lifting.
Own Tools/Equipment:
Steel-toed safety boots, Work pants – All PPE provided.
