Job duties:
Oversee heating, plumbing, and renovation work in accordance with work orders, and plans
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil burners
Assemble oil burner heating systems components & Perform installation of oil-fired systems
Test installed units and adjust controls for proper functioning
Perform preventative maintenance work on motors, pumps, control devices, boilers, forced air furnaces, and oil-fired hot water tanks
Completion of work order forms, detailing work performed and materials used, assisting in inventory, and stock control
Be on the call-out team to handle emergencies
Qualifications:
5+ years of technical and trade experience
Red Seal certification is a strong asset or current Oil Heat System Technician license
Understanding of the current regulations within the field
Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
Ability to work as a team, and independently
Strong client focus with ability to deliver excellent customer service
Valid class 5 driver's license and good driving record
