Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our clients retail team in Scarborough. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service while efficiently managing transactions. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. 

Experience in Wholesale or Big Box store an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs in a professional manner
• Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
• Process sales efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Upsell products and provide product demos to enhance customer engagement
• Manage merchandising displays and ensure the store remains organized and inviting
• Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with effective communication skills
• Maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and sales techniques
• Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized checkout area and sales floor

Skills

• Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Experience with POS systems and retail sales operations
• Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through technical sales or merchandising techniques
• Excellent organizational skills and time management to prioritize tasks effectively
• Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to upsell products tactfully to meet sales goals
• Bilingual proficiency (English required; additional languages are a plus)
