Summary
The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for delivering a consistent and well-organized onboarding experience for new employees across Convoy. This role ensures new hires are properly introduced to the company, complete required training, and have the tools and information they need to become productive quickly. The role also administers Convoy’s Learning Management System (LMS), maintaining training content, learning paths, and compliance assignments while supporting employees and managers in accessing training resources. Working closely with HR, managers, and subject matter experts, the Learning & Development Coordinator supports the operational delivery of onboarding and training programs while maintaining accurate training records and reporting. This position will be based out of our Rexdale, ON location at 180 Bethridge Road.
Responsibilities
Onboarding Coordination
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all new hires, including scheduling, preparation of materials, and completion tracking.
- Ensure a consistent onboarding experience across branches and departments.
- Work with HR and hiring managers to ensure new employees have the necessary training, resources, and information before and after their start date.
- Track onboarding completion and follow up with managers and employees when required steps are outstanding.
- Maintain onboarding documentation and records in accordance with company policy and employment legislation.
- Identify opportunities to improve the onboarding process and employee experience.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
- Administer and maintain Convoy’s Learning Management System.
- Upload training content, manage enrollments, and maintain course catalogs and learning paths.
- Ensure compliance training and mandatory learning assignments are properly assigned and tracked.
- Provide support to employees and managers using the LMS.
- Maintain the accuracy and organization of training records and course content.
Training Program Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person training sessions, including scheduling, communications, materials, and attendance tracking.
- Support facilitators, subject matter experts, and vendors to ensure training sessions run smoothly.
- Ensure training completion records are properly documented in the LMS.
Training Reporting and Data
- Track training participation and completion metrics.
- Maintain reports and dashboards related to training and compliance.
- Provide training data to support audits and program improvement.
Learner Communication
- Support communication of training programs, reminders, and updates.
- Ensure employees understand required training and learning opportunities.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and accessible learning experience.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or training coordination.
- Experience administering a Learning Management System.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience coordinating onboarding programs.
- Experience supporting both virtual and in-person training.
- Familiarity with compliance or mandatory training programs.
- Experience working with training reports or learning analytics.
- Bilingual in English and French will be considered an asset.
