Current Rate of Pay: Min $29.16- Max $30.03

Current Shifts: Days, including weekends

Position Summary:

The Medical Transcriptionist back-end edits and transcribes dictated patient care reports meeting the departmental workload and quality standards. The Medical Transcriptionist operates dictation, transcription, printing and patient database equipment/software as required. This position is primarily remote work.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Graduate of Medical Transcription Program
• Previous experience with hospital computer system, preferably MEDITECH
• Experience with Administrative dictation system functions an asset,
• Minimum one year experience as a Medical Transcriptionist and back-end editor in an acute care setting, including report types such as Operative Reports, Oncology, Discharge Summaries
• Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, English Vocabulary and grammar
• Output standard: 140 to 150 minutes per 7.5 hour shift
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
