
Patient Account Resolution Specialist

We are looking to hire an efficient Patient Account Resolution Specialist to work with our patients to settle their accounts in a timely manner. This includes researching, auditing, rebilling, and collections of delinquent accounts. The Account Specialist must have excellent customer service skills, a dynamic personality, be highly motivated, and detail-oriented. Due to the nature of the position, the Account Resolution Specialist will interact with patients over the phone on a regular basis providing exceptional customer service to maximize the patients' experience.
Responsibilities:
- Handle an average of 80-100 inbound and outbound calls per day speaking to patients and motivating them to bring their accounts to a current status
- Educates patients on services, pricing, and financial responsibility
- Identify, address, and resolve any patient concerns regarding their account
- Enters payments/charges for treatment rendered and performs daily payment/charge reconciliation
- Validate and/or obtain authorization for payment from patients
- Processes payments via phone and online
- Verify and update patient demographic data when necessary
- Complete necessary reports on regularly scheduled dates
- Complete reminder calls to patients regarding upcoming appointments and modifying appointments as needed
- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, and Risas policies and practices)
- Any additional duties and responsibilities may be added or changed at any time
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledgeable of dental and medical terminology preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Must be comfortable utilizing de-escalation skills when communicating with patients
- Ability to be an empathetic, active listener, who has strong follow through skills when speaking with patients
- Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and work independently
- Must have a growth mindset and the ability to adapt to change
