This position will include Shift Work. This includes a rotating schedule of two weeks of days and two weeks of nights. This rotation includes every other weekend off. Specifics regarding the schedule will be reviewed with applicants.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and independently
• Troubleshoot and perform moderate repairs in a highly automated factory
• Conduct preventative & predictive maintenance inspections and repairs
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for timely repairs when necessary.
• Maintain a clean work environment

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Red Seal Journeyman Industrial Mechanic / Millwright certification an asset, applicants with other related trades will be accepted.
• Stainless steel welding and fabrication experience an asset
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Desired Skills and Abilities

• Electro mechanics: Repair automated mechanical systems
• Test, operate, and maintain robotic and automated packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot computer-controlled production equipment
• Possess technical understanding of automated production processes operating through a PLC.
• Ability to keep mechanical equipment operating safely and effectively
• Knowledgeable in using meters to diagnose electrical circuits
• The ability to work shift work
